“You think that’s hard?” mimicked Kurt under his breath as he walked away from Coach Sylvester’s office. “Try spending a year traveling through time and space and then getting dropped back into your boring life in Lima, Ohio. That’s hard.”
“If I had known you felt that way about it, I wouldn’t have brought you back,” came an amused voice from behind him. Kurt spun around, coming face-to-face with—
“Hello,” said the distinctly not mop-haired, awkward-limbed man Kurt was expecting.
“I thought you were—never mind, sorry,” said Kurt, moving back. The other boy just looked amused. “Um…nice bowtie,” he finished lamely.
“Well, bowties are cool,” said the other boy, eyes crinkling as he smiled.
Kurt’s eyes widened. “You have got to be kidding me.” He edged closer. “…Doctor?” The shorter boy’s eyes lit up.
Kurt launched himself at the Doctor, who caught him, holding on to him tightly.
Kurt broke the hug. “Where the hell have you been?” he said furiously.
The Doctor looked offended. “What? I’ve been gone for 24 hours.”
Kurt laughed humorlessly. “Try 24 weeks.” He mimicked the Doctor’s voice. “Oh, don’t mind me, Kurt, just have to pop off and take care of some things, why don’t you spend some time with your dad.” He hugged himself. “And then you never came back.”
“Ah,” said the Doctor, rubbing his neck. “Sometimes that does happen.”
“And now I guess you just expect me to hop right back into the TARDIS with you,” finished Kurt.
“Well. Yes,” said the Doctor. “It’s all of time and space, Kurt. Don’t you trust me?”
“I do. I did. I don’t know. You’re different.”
“Same bowtie,” said the Doctor. “Same man. I promise. Come on. Let’s run away.”

Pillow Talk is a project aiming to connect long distance lovers. Each person has a pillow for their bed and a chest sensor which they wear to sleep at night. The chest sensor wirelessly communicates with the other person’s pillow; when one person goes to bed, their lover’s pillow begins to glow softly to indicate their presence. Placing your head on the pillow allows you to hear the real-time heartbeat of your loved one.
